This beautiful handmade Belleek Basket is a smaller replica of the one gifted to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during the Platinum Jubilee in June 2022. A Celebration of Seventy Years Reign, the Platinum Jubilee Basket is adorned with flowers which represent the four parts of the United Kingdom. The English Rose, Scottish Thistle, Welsh Daffodil and traditional Belleek Shamrocks represent Northern Ireland. Each intricately woven and flowered basket is crafted in the same timeless fashion and skills introduced by William Henshall. Hand painted using Mother of Pearl Lustre, the iridescent glaze is reminiscent of our Archive Baskets which date back to the 1870’s.
